we start building a new boat for the 2012 season here on Orust west coast sverige, i write the tread in english , but no problem if some one write in svensk .
the season starts with the UIM World Championship 2-3.3.2012 in Doha /Qatar , Lars Åkerblom has win the last 2 years the SM in Open Class and we are hopping for a good result.
the UIM worldchampionship is a 2 heat each 30 min race on the sea side.

the UIM jetski world organisation pays the airfreight transport of the jetski and the Hotel , as well as the Race fuel
some infos on the boat:
we have had a few option for the new 2012 race boat , after testing the 2012 RXP-X RS in october last year Havasu /USA , we decided to go with the new RXP-X ergonomie for the topdeck . we made the seat ,hood, topdeck in carbon fibre to get better acceleration and lower the gravity center for better handling
the bottom hull is from a GTR, as the straight-line stability is much better then on the new RXP-X RS (keep in mind we are running close to 400 real HP on a boat that is 90 kg lighter then a original RXP-X RS )
we have tested the GTR hull on the end of last year with a 330 HP test engine and competed the last SM race , but now we cut down the old topdeck to replace it with a carbon fibre one
( the new RXP -X is by far the best turning and handling boat ever build, but thats only up to 300 hp )
the bottom hull has been reenforced with kevlar and carbon, the ride plate is original , the Intake grate is a custom CNC machined piece of art from Seadoo centre australia ( its over 1000 USD, but it does not have a chance of breaking at high speed like the RIVA or RnDs
the Engine is a complete lightweight ROTAX RACING factory offshore spec. engine , that we will run with a bit higher compression and a Supercharger from SEADOO Centre.
we will run a target RPM of 9200-9250 ( RPM Limiter will be 9400 ) we have tested the complete last season with 9350 Limiter and had no problem at all in more then 15 heat races.
off course we have the engine sitting on ROTAX RACING solid engine mounts
the pump unit will be the ROTAX RACING 16 vein setup with a SKAT TRAK 14/20
we buid 2 engine with the same internals , so we will run in all training s and tests the spare with a more conservative mapping.
the ECU will be the 2012 IGNI Power from ROTAX RACING , with the new Digital touch screen.
we have only 14 days left to send the boat with airfreight to the first race :-
